Cross Country Church is a 15-year-old Southern Baptist Church, planted using the Purpose Driven model. Its purpose statement is: “Cross Country Church exists to honor God by developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through evangelism, discipleship, ministry, worship, and fellowship.” The church embraces the slogan “Casual Church, Serious Faith.” It is currently seeking a bi-vocational Lead Pastor to replace the original Church Planting Pastor and to guide the church forward under God’s direction.

Cross Country Church currently operates on a 7-acre campus located strategically on the Mat-Su Valleys’ main highway and includes a parsonage, church office, rustic barn, and other outbuildings. There is great potential for building a regional Palmer/Wasilla church campus, in an area that has been determined to be the fastest growing part of the state for several years.

Averaging around 25-30 on Sunday Morning Worship gatherings, Cross Country Church currently meets in the facilities of a local non-profit ministry until a suitable facility can be constructed. The church is conservative in its theology, open to change and creativity, passionate about reaching the community, excited about the potential for growth, inter-generation in dynamic, and embracing a blended style of Worship.
