First Baptist Church of Palmer is planning to have 4 weeks of VBS (June 3-7, 2024) followed by 3 weeks of 4 day kid’s day camps (June 10-13, 17-20, and 24-27).
This week is a VBS M-F, working along side FBC Palmer VBS team. It will be a 9am-Noon VBS for kids in groups, Preschool through 5th grade. We plan a family night (probably Thursday). We are asking our mission team partners to assist in conducting the VBS and same-week follow-up contact each day. We will use the LIFEWAY VBS curriculum. In recent years our VBC children’s enrollment has been 80-120.
FBC Palmer wants to make this experience the best possible for our mission team partners. We are asking each mission team member to provide $600 to the church for the week. The church will provide housing (including sleeping bedding), all meals (except for a day of sightseeing), and transportation from / to Anchorage airport, sightseeing-shopping day, and return to the airport. The only “in Alaska” expenses to team members will be their own shopping and lunch/dinner on the sightseeing day & return to the airport for the trip home, and meals to/from home to Alaska.
